Mastering has some key goals to achieve at this stage of the process. I listen for any issues in the mix that may need to be addressed there first.

 

Overall tonal balance and track density are assessed based on the genre and your personal taste requests, then adjusted as needed. The proper level is achieved again based on the genre and your personal taste requests.
